Eleanor's Legacy

Dr. Allida Black's Book Receives Rave Reviews!

We are thrilled and excited to announce that fellow ERLC Board Member, Dr. Allida Black (Project Director and Editor, The Eleanor Roosevelt Papers & GWU Research Professor of History and International Affairs) received her first major review for her recently published book, The Eleanor Roosevelt Papers: Volume I, The Human Rights Years, 1945-1948 . The book compiles 410 documents from 263 archives in 50 states and 9 nations that "chronicle Eleanor Roosevelt's impact on American politics and the United Nations, but also the serious treatment she received from those in power."

Dr. Black, among her many accomplishments and accolades, has also published four other books and has advised a number of documentaries prepared for PBS, the History Channel, A&E, and the Discovery Channel. She tirelessly advocates for and promotes Eleanor Roosevelt's writings and discussions of human rights and democratic politics. We are so proud to have Allida as a member and leader of the ERLC and we congratulate and cheer on her most recent work! Allida's book can be purchased on Amazon, Barnes & Noble and Thomson Gale.
