Eleanor's Legacy

Catherine - Warwick

I remember bursting into tears when Billie Jean King beat Bobby Riggs. I was a new mom in my thirties and I couldn’t figure out why I was crying.

I remember handing out literature for Mondale-Ferraro and having a neighborhood man throw a newspaper at me.

I was thrilled when Hillary became Senator of NY and admired her listening campaign, a special talent that many women have. I donated a few dollars to the campaign and watched the debates. I particularly liked the humanity that Hillary demonstrated. She will be a thoughtful Secretary of State and Eleanor would be proud
