Welcome to the Pro-Choice Corner, created to voice the basic human right for women to allow her the choice for safe and legal abortions in the New York State, as well as, throughout the country.
"More than 1 out of 3 women in the U.S. have an abortion by the time they are 45 years old," said Planned Parenthood in a recent survey.
Help protect the basic human rights of women and make abortion more accessible.
"87 percent of U.S. counties have no abortion provider," said Nancy Keenan, President of NARAL.
Despite, Roe v. Wade's protection for abortion rights, legislation continues to pass a range of restrictions on women trying to obtain abortions.
In 1948, Eleanor Roosevelt said, “The future must see the broadening of human rights throughout the world…. In a truest sense, human rights are a fundamental object of law and government in a just society.”
