ERLC Candidate Schools help women develop the skills they need to win elections. These day-long intensive training experiences enable potential candidates to formulate a campaign strategy specific to their race and individual goals. Topics covered include:
In 2009, candidate schools were held in Manhattan, Long Island, and Albany.Between 2001 and 2009, Eleanor's Legacy trained over 760 women candidates and campaign staffers in Candidate Schools across New York State. These schools have given women the tools they need to win elections from the village through the state level.
Candidate Schools are held in strategic reginal locations in New York State and are open to all pro-choice Democratic women currently running for office or planning a future run; there is no cost to attend. In the past, schools have been held in Albany, Buffalo, Ithaca, Long Island, New York City, Rochester, Saratoga Springs, and Westchester. For more information, contact mail@eleanorslegacy.com.
