Make, Learn, Do: Windowsill Gardening

We’re all spending a lot more time indoors these days, so this is the perfect time to learn how to bring a little piece of the natural world into your kitchen or living room. Join us, Tara Gayle, owner of Gayle Gardens on Martha’s Vineyard, and NYS Assembly Candidate Stefani Zinerman, to learn how to plant and cultivate a windowsill garden. Whether you’d like some flowers to brighten your space or are hoping to never again buy those single-use-plastic grocery store herb capsules, Tara will walk you through what grows best in which conditions and offer some tips and tricks to make the most of your light and space.

All proceeds will go to the Eleanor’s Legacy Emergency Fund for Womxn Candidates in response to COVID-19 and how it is rapidly, and dramatically, altering the campaign landscape. If you are unable to attend, please consider making a contribution below in support of this event and our work.

Please RSVP by Saturday, May 30 @ 5pm.

When: Saturday, May 30 @ 6:00pm EDT. (Zoom link provided to RSVPs the afternoon of the event!)

What you need:
1) Planter (you can go fancy or plain or just save up a couple of jars or cans you would have otherwise recycled!)

2) Potting soil

3) Seeds or plant starts (you can find seeds on Etsy, source starts from any Greenmarket, and even at some grocery stores)

Ticket Info: Tickets are a suggested contribution of $25. Please note the option for seeds + soil is available for New York City only! Scroll down to RSVP. 🙂

(If you are unable to support with a contribution of any size at this time, please email us to join.)
